Dear Sir, He wreck of Lizzie Bell. As father of Leonard Olley, 'second officer, who unfortunately lost his life in that sad calamity, I would esteem it a favour to ba allowed to think publicly through the medium of your newspaper, Captain Good and family, and all who so nobly and generously rendered help, and to those who survived, and also in so touohingly paying resp c 1: to the funeral services jof those who were found of the bst. We dobire to thank the English clergyman who so feelingly read the I solemn service, and, although we could j not be present, our hearts have followed in grateful memory of the sure and certain hope we have for those who, although taken from us, are present with tho Lard, The presence of the flowew upon the coffins and graves, plsctd there by kindly hands, an 1 tbe knowledge that bv the generosity of the neighbourhood a memorial, with names of tbe departed, will be placed lon their grav»s, has indeed been a comfort to us. lam sure I may, on behalf of tbe relatives of the sailors, who Ido know, f'ank everyone who so nobly h Ipei, ind be assured our English hears will ever bea>- in memory the kiudnu-u lioue for otheis which it was irpporgible for their relatives do.— From, dear Mr Editor, yours gratefully, George Hales OiiLES.
