Mr Barton, replying, stated that February last, he he recommended, the Imperial Government to establish a tribunal to deal with land dispntea; mors frequent; visits of warships; periodical visit* of the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific; and the appointment of a British Resident. The Imperial Government agreed to all except the land tribunal, which was still the subject of communication.
