SENORITA SHOOTING AFFAIR.
ARREST OF THE M&TE, FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, November 25. At the inquest to-day, Captain James Farrell said he heard a shot, sqd went from his cabin to the poop to sea what the shooting was «bout. The deceased told him he was firing at some birds. The captain went back to the cabin, leaving the mate and deceased together. Shortly afterwards he heard a second shot, and the mate came down and said, " My Gad, I have shot th? boatswain; come on 4eck and look," He found PiurJ js lying on deck. He askeJ him what wag the matter. The deota*ed answered, " I am dona for." Thuee were the only words he Bpokf. Buries died within half an hoar.
Dr. Gheeseman made a poßi-mortem ex inclination, and found that a bullet had entered the right side, cutting through the entrails and arteries, and lodging in the skin on the left side. The jury returned the following verdict, " Tha l -, deceased met bis death by a revolver bullet wound on the Senorita on the 24th inst., but there was no evidence to show who fired ( shot.''
