CHEERING NEWS FROM OH4VIOT. PBB PBEM ASSOOUnO*. Ohhi TCHnKCH, November 25, Welcome rain fell at Cheviot kill night, and a mora cheerful tone if evident throughout the settlement. There were slight tremors list sight, and severe shocks on Saturday night and Sund <y morning. The coach leaving Cheviot this morning was again crowded with women and children. | Wellington, November 25.
The Telegraph Department has been advised of two shocks of earthquake at Cheviot on Saturday evening, and three others before day-light yesterday morninp, the last being at 4.50 a.m., since which all has been quiet up to the I hour ot advice (8 a.m.) to-day.
