At the Chamber of O-ra-nerce dinner, the to<st of " King Edward " was drank with enthusiasm, " God Save the Kiog " being played. H-n. Joseph H. Choatp, United States Ambassador in London, mentioned that there was a tide of sympathy in England for America. Thin, especially in regard to .the address of condolence on the death of the late President McKinley, which was signed by every notable, merchant, banker, and trader in London, and was so spontaneous an action, led the authorities at Washington to interpret it as a national demonstration of frinnd'hip. The statement was received with cheers.
