PIS PEEBS ASSOCIATION. Woodville, November 19. Jean Birnie, aged 18, daughter of c resident of Pahiatua, while oil a visit here, was found dead on the bedroom floor, She had only been ailing a week. Heart disease is supposed to b the cause of death. s Thubv, November 18. A shockingly sadden dea'h occurred this afternoon at Rowley's dental sur gery. A joung woman named Annie Morris was put under the influence of chloroform to have some teeth extracted. The operation was going all right when the patient suddenly passed away. All efforts to restore animation failed, though a doctir was present. It is supposed death resulted frnn shock. Dcnedin, November 18.
The community was profoundly Stirred to-dav when it btcime known that John Wright, a member of the firm of Wright, Steven-on, and Company, had baen the vic'im of a terrible accident. While superintending rome new machinery he was caught in the belting, and b'fore tbe machinery! coulc( be stopped was whirled at a great rate ronnl the shafting. Both legs and ote arm were broken, besides which the body was shockingly mutilated.
