2STIKATES OF THB DAMAGE. ™* PBSSS ASSOCIATION, Sydney, November 16. The damage by the storm to the wheat crops in the Riverina district id minora to many farmers. The force of the wind at Berrigan may be judged from the fact that a thousand gallon tank was lifted bodily eal carried a mile. Theviolent storm in Sydney yester<ky night lasted a few minutes and ■did considerable damage, especially in the northern suburbs, where a number of houses were unroofed, trees uprooted, and, much havoc wrought in orchards. The wind reached a velocity of fifty nilea an hour. Melboubto, November 16. The storm did immense damage, especially to country property ard crops. In the Castlemaioe district it Is estimated that the damage will reach £50,000. A relief fund has been started for people who have been rendered homeless. The wbeat crops in some districts are practically ruined. circus suffered badly by the cyclone. The devastation in the country i« widespread. Beside the destruction of house property, the losses of crops, tfopfr; *nd ovchards are very severe.
