j This Cup match between the two New | Plymouth teams was played in the ,Et creation Ground on Monday, and | was won by the Rovers by 12 runs I after an exciting finish. Robertson, Hafsell, and Lash batted well for the Rovers, and Lightband, Currie, and Mannix for the Wanderers. Hassell J was deadly with the ball, securing eight wickets for 24 rues in the second innings of the Wanderers, and Braund bowled best for the losers. The Town i Band very kindly played some pleasing selections during the afternoon, and the ladies dispensed afternoon tea in a tent kindly lent by Mr Hassell.
