At the show, the tickets sold indicate the attendance at over 10,000 od the second day, and should the fine weather continue, it is anticipated the attendance to-morrow—People's Day—will greatly exceed the record attendance of last year. Mr S. S. Lancaster was awarded the championship for bull and cow in the Jersey classe*. First a words were secured by Mr Harkness (Taranaki), Mrs Jennin* (Waitara), and Mr X. O. Batchelor (P<ilmerston). The paints prize for fat cattle fell to Messrs Mc-j Hardy Brothers, and to Mr J. btuckey for the remaining catt'e classes. Mr F. Qoodacre (New Plymouth) was the principal priza-taker in the poultry classes, Messrs Taplin Brothers (Wairarapa) being eeoond. Id the collie classes, Mr T. O. Fowler took first priz i for best ollis dog, and Mr S. D, Mcfiwen first for bust collie slut. In classes for best collie dog and slut, confined to membeis of the New Zealand Kennel Club, Mr J. HT. Hankies was awarded the former and Mr S. D. McEwen the latter.
