The Minister for Education odd he moved with regret the third raiding of the Industrial Conciliation a< d Arbitration Bill, as he considered that the power feiven to either party to aet up special conciliators and to nfer a die* pute diiect to the Arbitration Court destroyed the Ac;'e firat principle of conciliation.
Hon. J. Twomey supported a direct reference to the Court by either party. Hon. H. Scotland supported^ tbe third reading,
Hon. J, E. Jenkinson spoke agaiaet the Bill, and read a list of 17 nauee of Unionists (including U in the carriers' trade) alleged to have been discharged in consequence of the part they took in dieputes at Ohristohurch under tbe Aot.
Hon. Lee-Smith was speaking against the Bill's conciliation provisions when the Council rose at 5 p.m. till 7.30 p.m.
