INGLEWOOD NEWS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Thk half-yearly meeting of the Moa Farmers' Union 00-oparative Society was held in the Foresters' Hall last Saturday. There was a large attendance of shareholders present. Mr ; Sawle, chairman of directors, occupied' the chair. The report was read and adopted, showing a very sitisfaotory profit for the half year. The now includes drapery, boot, ironmongery, saddlery, and bakery departments. A restaurant and afternoon tea salon is also carried on with great success. A motion to increase the share capital from 2000 to 5000 shares, and to allow any one psisin to take up 50 shares instead of 10 as at present, was carried. This resolution will have to be confirmed at a subsequent meeting, to be held a fortnight hence. Mr H. Capper was re-elected a director and Mr Morton was elected auditor. A vote of thanks to the chair teiminated the noting. I am very pleised to hear that Mr J. Davidson, who met with a very nasty accident some week or two ago, is getting along very well, although it will be some time before he is able to get about, as I hear he has two fractures in one of bis legs below the knee. General sympathy is felt for him here, as he is one of tbose men universally liked.
