♦ HILDTABD TAKES COMMAND. TBI CABINET AND THB GENERAL. PKB FUSS ASSOCIATION. Received 27,4.40 p.m. London, October 26. Major-General Hildyard has assumed the command at Aldershot. General Bailer's aides have resigned. Mr Long, President of the Local Government Board, speaking at Liverpool said that the Government could prove that General Boiler had been appointed to Aldershot on the grounds of a polby of justice. His dismiss*) was doe to bis speech, which was sub ver&ive of discipline. The Cabinet had unanimously supported Lord Roberts Every consideration, and even affection, had been shown in affording Sir Bedvero Boiler facilities to explain his ac'ion. A man possessing traditional British qualities in a greater degree than General Bailer probably never wore the King's uniform; but a greater mistake than his no soldier could have made. _
