Captain Rolls, of tte Upoln, who has been on a short business trip to Australia, retraced to the Bluff by the Waihora last week. The Kittawa, commadned by Captain Oollics, arrived in port yesterday about 3 p,m., from Nelson, from whence she sailed on Saturday evening. The Kittawa is a fine three-masted vessel of 1247 tons, and has been engaged running between Launceston and Sydney, with produce. She came over to Dnnedin with a cargo of Newcastle coal, and the company pnt her on the Upoln's run between Dnnedin ?id New Plymouth, while the Upolnis having berholds insulated for the dairy produce trade. She is one of the Union Oompanv's new »hips, and, like her captain, hon her first visit to this port. She hid a fine weather trip from Nelson, and Captain Collins brought her ilght up to the wharf without any hesitation The sji. Gothic, sailing from Wellington, October 31st. will be tbe next steamer for dairy produce. The closing day at the Taranaki Producers' Kreeziig Works will be Wednesday, the 23rd October, at 3 o'clock p.m., and for the ss. Paparoa on Wednesday, the 6th November, at 3 o'clock p.m., ■o as to enable tbe butter to be shipped from the Breakwater on the following Monday.
