Heavy rain fell last night and this morning, and renderel the course heavy. Despite the w.=atber there was a large attendance. Results: Emo Hurdles.—Rackstriw 1, Tatter Wallop 2, Belok* 3. Twelve star'ed. Betting 5 to 1 on Rackstraw. Won easily. Tims 4min 37sec. Caulfield Stakes.—Wakeful 1, Hyroe'tus 2, Australian Colours 3. others ran. Betting even on Sequence, Bto 1 Wakeful, The latter led shortly after the start, and was never again headed, and won easily by six lengths. Time lmin 58£eecs. Caulfield Guineas.—lbex 1, Haymaker 2, Grasspan 3. Other starters: Hautvilliere, Corsican and Oaromel. Betting 10 to 1 on Hautvilliers, 4 to 1 against Ibex. A splendid race down the straight between the placed horses, Ihex winning by a length, a bead between second and third. Tho favourite was fourth. Time 1 min 46|sec. Ringwcod Stepkehase. —Arcadia 1, Orthez 2, Alsha 3. Fifteen started. Time 4min jsec. Debu'ande Stake'.— Heloise 1, Brakpan 2, Niphetos 3. Betting 6to 1 against He'oife. Won easily by two lengths Time 50sec. Toorak Handicap.—Bonnie Chiel 1, Blunderer 2, Miltiades 2. All started but Sequence and Wakeful.
