When assistance was obtained ha wu eirriod out to Mokau, a journey of some miles, and placed on board the> steimer for Waitara, where be arrived on Sunday Arrangements were mad* meanwhile for his reception at the N«V Plymouth Hospital, and a cab was sent out with an ambulanes tu bring him to j the hospital. On his arrival there on Sunday afternoon he was promptly attended to by Dr. Leatbam, but the tufferer was too exhausted to allow of a. thorough examination as to the extent of his injuries. One of his legs is badly crushed, and as th« accident occurred last Friday, the pUient is naturally m a very exhausted s/ata.
