FEB PBKSS ASSOCIATION, Timaru, October 6. The South Canterbury branches of the Farmers' Union have appointed six delegates to the provincial conference at Ashburton on Tuesday. The delegates h"»ve been requested to support tho Auctioneers' Bill against " trot- j ting," any movement in the direction; of securing correct weights at railway, weighbridges, and to endeavour to have, South Canterbury made a separate provincial district. Under the Uaion at present the number of members does not justify the latter proposal; but it was determined to make an effort to raise the membership sufficiently. i
