He told his wife he would lie down. Shortly afterwards sbe> heard a shot, and found her husband bleeding from a wound indie right temple, and took the pistol from him. The injuries are not regarded as dangerous. Ohristcbuioh, October 3. 0. ScolfUld, who for some year* has be«n a chrk in the Pujblie Wotfcs Office here, and was under o ders for removal to Wellington, w« found drowned in the river at Heathoote, near Eastmere,to-night.
