J\lr. Moloney, the popular foraman at the local railway a'ation, has been presented by the railway employees and social committee with a handsome travailing rug, on the occasion of his promotion to Christchurch. Mr Stephenson, locomotive foreman, maltha presentation, and voiced the general feeling of regret felt by the staff at losing Mr. Moloney, who had worked zealously and successfully for the railway library and social. Messrs Aitken, Kouasell, Burrelland Smith also expressed regret at Mr Moloney's departure, and wished him every success in his new position. These sentiments will be I echoed by all who knew Mr. Moloney, who leaves for Christchurch to-day. His Honour Judge Connolly gave utterance yesterday to the oft-repeated complaint of talking on the verandah outside! the Court. At the District Court it is the prlyate talking that goes on inside the building that is the nuisance.
