It was announced an a meeting of j the Canterbury Jubilee Memorial C)iumittes to-day that the statue of tbe late Queen Victoria m«y be expected by December. In all £1667 been subscribed, abuit £4O less than tbe estimated cost of the statue in England. It was diciJed to cable to Mr. Reece, ex-Mayor, who is now in Eugland, and to the Agent-General, asking tham to select designs for panels.
