ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
[PKB PRESS ASSOCIATION. J Dunedin, September 23. At the inquest on Wm. McDonald, who was drowned in the harbour, the evidence tendtd to show that while attending to a mooring buoy, he gave n turn of the chain round his leg. A lurch of tbe yacht probably ckused him to alp over. A verdict of accidental drowning was returned/the jury draw 2 ing the attention of the authorities to the necessity for providing proper appliances for saving life, also sympathising with the relatives ; and Mends of deceased.
