The King cabled Mr. Choate from the Continent: "Our thoughts are especially with the Am°rcm nation, where the distinguished President is being laid to rest." The Que«n sent an outograpS letter of sympathy to Mrs. McKinloy. Washington, Sep* ember 20. Tors of floral tributes were sent to Canton, induing wreaths bearing the nonius of ru'era and stafcesm o n. King Edward's wreath was taken to Mr. McKinley's house and placed on the coffin when proceeding to the church.
