IMPROVED TRAIN ARRANGEMENTS.
The General Manager of Bail ways supplies to the New Zealand Times the fallowing information regarding the Wellington-New Plymouth and Wel-lington-Napier mail trains: —The new timetable which will come into forcp on the Wellington-New Plymouth and Wellington-Napier lines on Ist November, m»ken provision for a daily wail service batween New Plymouth and Wellington. The north mail will lewo Wellington at 7.25 a.m., arriving Palmersttn 11.20, Wanganui 3 p.m., aDd New Plymouth 8.15 p.m. The south mail will leave New Plymouth at 7.25 a.m., arriving Wanganui at 1.6 p.m., Paloaerston 4.5 p.m., and Wellington 8.15 p.m., the journey time being reduced by one hour and tec minutes an<J one hour and thirly minutes respectively. The Wellington to Napier mail train will leave Wellington as at present, arriving Wool villa 2.9 p.m., and Napier at 6.50 p,m., instead of 7.15 p.m. The Napier-Wellington mail train will leave Napier as at present, Woodville 1.10 p.m., and will reach Wellington at 7.20 p.m., instead of 7.53 p.m. Some slight alterations have been made in the Wanganui-Hawera local trains to meet the requirements of the dis'rist and to fit in with the other services,
