FEB PBBSS ASSOOIiTMH. Welmhoton, September 19. On* of the member* of the City Council to-night mentioned the fact that while a certain medical inspection was made of passengers from oversen ports, nothing wu being done by municipalities to check the spread of measles, scarlatina, influenza, and other epidemics of sicknes'. Tha prevalence of these complaints was considered by many medical man to be due to th* want of proper fumigation of clothing and belongings of the large number of men wbo have returned from South Africa. He recommended that a re port shoald be procured at once from the Oity Heath Officer. TbeMayoi promised to inquire into the matter and procure a report on the subject.
