The steamer City of Qolconda turned over upon being struck by a squall. I Nearly twenty people vceredtownfd. These on deck jumped into the liver and were saved, but the women were in the cabin, and could not be .reached. j There wf re a number of children j • lost, and 'among the women wereseve-j |ral members of prominent families of I Kentucky.
