Pulsi 130, temperature, 101'6, respiration, 30. London, September 9. King Edward from Fredenberg cabled to Mr. Choate on Sunday night: "R joiceto hear favourable accounts. God grant life may be spared." Auckland, September 9. There were many callera at the office of Mr. Frank Dllingham, United States Consul, to offer their condolences at the misfortune which has befallen President McKin'ry, amongst them being Consuls of foreign nations, clergymen and prominent citizens. The Consul expressed his de-pest sorrow, and hopes for the President's rrcovery. Mr. Dillingham baj also received a sympatbe ic te'egram from the Governor. The Town Clerk to-day waited on the Consul and presented the hearty sympathy of the Auckland City Council and cit'zena with the people of the United States.
