BROWN.—Ob 2nd September, 1901, by acci- { dent, Ohables Bbown, late Major of Taranaki Militia and first Superintendent of the Provi&ce; aged 81 years. O'NEILL.—On 3rd instant, at the residence of her father, Kathleen, eldest daughter of James O'Neill, aged 16. Deeply regretted.
