BEWLEY & GRIFFITHS' SHARE REPORT.

Tsales, 11 buyers, s sellers. Businessin the share market continues very limited. There is deal of uncertainty as lo whether money will command higher rates, and should money harden, shares will tend to decline. There have been a few transactions in B.N.Zealand at LI 17s Gd to 1/2 Is., holders no', being willing to quit now under Lis 2s. The National Bank has just circulated its balance sheet which discloses an even more prosperous stite than was anticipated. It pays a dividend of 10 per cent, the largest in the history rf the Bank, and adds a substantial sum to the reserve fund. The shares have been dealt in at L 4. Gas shares are steady as usual. Insurance shares have received a little more attention New Zealand Accident have reached L2 4s. Meat shares have been offered freely, and Woollen Share? are not in demand. In the milling market, the Waihimine has just had a record return, far in excess of any previous records. The dredging market has been in a state of panic owing to weak holders forcing their shares on the market. There is nothing tc justify the panic in the returns that are being obtained, as from several of the newlv started dredges, the returns have exceeded all expectations, and the average for over 60 dredges has varied from 35ozs to 41oa for four weeks past. After allowing' for a'l expenses there is a sura of over

£2OOOO for the month avaUable for dividends, [and the distribution of this large sum must materially reduce the pressure and allay the ! present p.nic. After a panic there is a revival as sure as a slump follows a boom, and .-s present prices are the resolt of a panic. pure and simp'e, we be iove the proved properties will see a material advance DHINE SERVICMS TO-MORROW.
