Me. James C. Denton, advance agent of the Josephine Stinton American Opera Company, has arrived in New Plymouth. He is arranging for a short season at the Theatre Royal, commencing on Thursday' next, September sth, The company is spoken of in high terms nf praise bv the leading co'onial journals, and should draw packed homfs, as we seldom have such a powerful combiaition to visit us. It consist* of over forty ar'i-tts from the leading Canadian and Amei ican theatres. Tbe opening bill will be Aubers' romantic "Fro Diavolo," and a change of opera will be given e«ch eveuing. Tbe box plan wili opon at 10 oVl'ek on Monday morning at Mr. D. McKinoon Bain's.
