Mb. Newton Kino reports:— Cattle—At Stratford on Tuesday I had very full yards. In addition to tho ordinary store stock there were several small lots of dairy cows. Bidding for all young cattle was keen, and all yearlings fold at excellent pricas. Empty heifers wore also in good demand, and made gooi prices. Two to 3-year-old steers were not so saleable, and were mostly passed in. Several small dairies of cows came, forward, and all cows to calve early sold well, and backward and late cabers 'old at reduced rates. Weaners made 8s to 18*; yearlings, 40- to 525; 18-months steers LH 10s to L 3 15s Gd ; empty heifers, L 3 to L 3 9s 6d: springer', L 4 10s to L 5; store cows, L 3 to L 8 14s 6d; dairy cows, springing. LS to L 7 12s 6d; backward calvers, L 3 10s to L4l7s Gd.

At HaVotu on Thursday, owing to the bad 1 weather, all cattle advertised did not csme forward ard the attendance was smaller than usual. Young cattle met with strong enquiry, but dairy stock were not bo saleable. Calves lo yearlings made LI 12s to L2 12s Cd; empty heifers, L 3 4s; springing heifers L 4 16< to L 5 9s fid; store cows, L 3 ' ss; co vs and calves, LI 10s. WYLLIK, STOTT & OO.'S REPORT.
