The Bill includes a million for a breokwater at Mai to, a m llion for the extension of the Royal dockyards at Kenham, also for additional coaling facilities at Gibraltar, Malti, and Hongkong. C<p'n.in Prettyman, Civil Lord of the Admiralty, explained that the HongKong dockyard was not to be transferred to the main land, a rearrangement having placod 34£ acres adjoining the pressnt site at the disposal of the Admiralty. The Military Works Bi 1, providing for barrack and port defences, was read a tecond time, by 162 against 83.
