PUBLIC notice is hereby given that in pursuance of the powers vested in County Councils under Section M 8 of the Oounties Act, 1896, and in accordance with Section 37 of the Rating Act, 1894, tbe Tar&nalci County Council will, at a special meeting to be held on MONDAY, the sth August, 1901, strike a rate and levy a general rate of three-farthings (}d) in the £, on thn rateable value of all rateable property comprised within the Moa, Waitara, Omata, and Parihaka Ridings, in the County of Taran&k.
