Tukapa wen the toss and kicked towards the Tdrrace for the first half, ball not travelling far enabled 'hi Tukapa forwardfj headed by O'Dowda, to rush the ball up the field, and Mynott snapping up the ball started a pissing rush, tha ball going through th® hands of Jenkinson, Dr. Fookes and W. H. Fooke?, the latter missing a pass whan io a good position : to score. From the scrum that wis formed the ball went cut near the , Isglswood rushed the ball up the line to the Tukapi's 25 fit?, W. H. Fookes saving by a useful kick. ' Jenkinson shortly afterwards got a mark and kicked out at the htlf way i fl if*. An interchange of kicks by the hactts was stopped by O'Dowda dribbling up the field. A sarum was I foimed Eeir the Inglewood line, and Inglewood getting passes-ion kicked well up the field, Callahan returning nicely. Shortly afterwards, Ing L.wood were fe-ced, Pri'ir kickiag ra'her hard. Dr. Fookes, getting tt e bdl, kicked well down the field, the bail going out midway befcwuen halfway and Inglewood's 25. Tukapa ' getting a mark in a good position, . Dawes had a place-kick at goal, bu' nothing came of it. Inslewood got on i dabbling rush. W. Fookes gstting hold of the ball, whs splendidly tackled bsfore ha could get his kiok in, the bill going out near the Tukapa'* 25. Inslawaod were not to be denied, and bison- forwards dribbling the ball nicely, | W. H. Fookes' and Callaghan mulliug ; badly, they crossed the line, bat Mynott was there when wanted, and saved a likely scare. From tho scrum the ball came out to Mynott, who marked, and kicking high he spoilt t~o return. Tukapa wera penalised for offsidr play, Dawes being the offender, but nothing came of the kick. DiLanney broke away with the ball at his toe, and dribbled well up the fidd, and 0 Dowda being handy, dribbled ovn-'the line, but Lightfoot fo r csd. Scukh ( fuk pi) returned th# kick ou c , and then Payne (Inglewood) got on a gcol dribbling rush, which was s-opped by Oallaghitn when looking dangerous.
