W. Fookes got possession, and made a splendid kick up the touch-line, and spoiled tho ra'urn. A scrum was formed on the Stars' line, a fr<e kick for off-side plsy swing tbem. Tukapas started a packing rush, the ball eoing through the hands of W. Fookes, Myrott, and Smith, who was collared n»ar the halfw«y flag. Pillinger was playing a fine gaaat for Stars, s»Ting them repeatedly. Stars were penalised for off-side play, but shortly afterwards Humphries parsed to Allen, who kicked b'gh, putting his meo on-sidn. Billing, coming through the scrum wMi the ball at his toe, dribbled well up the field, W. H* Fookes saving.
