At the sitting of tho New Zealand Christian Endeavour Convention thin morning, reports showed a total membership of 7645, and 215 societies, oie of which supports seventeen native teachers. Fifteen members hud joined the ministry. Officers elected wore a follows: —President, Rev. Hugh Kelly (Auckland); Vice-Presidents, Revs. K. Erwin and Dallaston; treasurer, T. Sims. A letter was reid from Dr. Olark, founder of the movement, ex pressing the hope that he will be able to visit the coleny. It was decided that a deputation wait on the Pr>mi»t and urge him to introduce a Bill toi deal with epium importation. It wa* | resolved to suppert the Auckland invitation to Mr. Snnkey.
