Of this sum £2l wa* in tho form of cVques; tbe remainder being s : lver, nites und gold. S vsral articl's of clothing had "l-o been removed from the shop. A Chinee fruiterer, who lived next doo.-, heard a sound as of breaking glass at abuut 3 a.m ; but apparently tojk no Lolice of the occurrence.
