New&ll returned thanks, and said they would not have misted the trip for anything, in spite of pudding! boiled in oilskins and other discomforts. The band were always glad to do what they could. They had had the honour cf playing the Wellington Bittal'on out, and were romp'imentfd and very kindly treated by the officers. Captain Dempaey proposed, " Oar entertainers." In doing so he said he had forgotten to mention that their bugler was recognised as the best in camp, and was worked very hard ia consequonee. He and the o&deti felt viry grateful for such a kind welcome homo, and the honor paid them tint night, Mr. Hill, iu reply, ssid the chief credit was due to Ciptain Hood and Mr. Avery, who was unable to bo present through an accideit, and the Mayor h id also greatly assisted them.
