The Rakaia, which arrived at the roadstead of the month of the Waitara River late on Saturday tight, la a very fine vessel of 6831 tans. She belongs to the N.Z.S.S. Company, and is commanded hy Captain Weston. She left Timaru on Friday at 4 p.m. and at Waitara at 9 p.m on Saturday. The a.s. Oreti left Westport at 2.50 on Batnrday afternoon with a cargo of coal, and is doe here early this morning. The a*. Rimu left Greymou'th with a cargo of coal for this port at 4.30 on Saturday evening, and is doe early this morning. The Harbourmaster, Captain Hood, infermi us that so far this has been a record month at the Breakwater, the number of steamers, passengers, etc, being in excess of anything previously known here.
