ALLEGED FALSE PRETENCES

At the Pol'ce Chuit this morning, James A. -Goiw, auctioneer, was charged on the information of George Tuck, with hiving obtained £35 from informant by means of Mse pretences. Defendant did not appear, and the S.M. ordered a warrant to be issued for his arrest on a fresh information. Defendant has not baen seen in town sinos Monday list, and is supposed to have left frr Sydney by the Waikare that evening. The alleged offence occurred on December 19th of last year,
