Mr. Hazeldes, of Hunterville, has definitely decided to stand for the Pate* seat in the Opposition interest Mr. Haz 'lden was in Patea to attend bhe anuual meeting of the Licensing Bench, and stayed the evening. He is a farmer by occupation, and intends standing primarily na a farmer's representative. It is probable that he will I take the opportunity of addressing the electors of Pat°a as soon us pofsible after the writs are issued. Present indications ptint to three candidates, viz, Messrs. Hes'op, Hazelden and Remington, the litter gentleman having definitely decided not to st*nd down.—Patea Press.
