HIGH SCHOOL BOARD OF GOVERNORS.
The Bond met on the 7th instant. Present: Mfssrs, N. K. McDiirmid (chairman), E. Dockrill, J. B. Roy, and J. E. Wilson.
Cap'ain Cornwall was granlel lcavo of absence.
It was decided to grant odo day (Thursday, 20rh June) holiday to the High Schcol in honour of tbe Royal vitit.
.Accounts were passed. o*'icg to tbe small attendance of members and other pressing "business to which th'se present were anxious to atterd, it was decided to hold a special meeting about a fortnight heoce, Mr. McDi.ti mid gave notice to Move the following resolutions at the special meeting:

That a science master be appoin'ed at a falary n't to exceed £l5O per annum, such master to be comp tent to teach practical ry, an i when not so employed to asiist in the general wo: k of rhe school.
That a physical and chemical laboratory, with a room for coakery claeses, be erected at a cost rot to excoid £6(50, the Education lfoa r d to be inf irmed that such 1 b ratory and room will be open for such clasafs of "the Board's teachers as may be disp sad to make u-e of the sime.
That the Education Board be informed that this Board is prepared to give free seconiaiy education to such pupils es may be recommerded by the lntp c'or, in the propostioa of one pupil to every .£SO of income froa endowments received by this Board.
