TO THE EDITOR. In last night's paper occurs the ietaaik " An organised gang of burglars have evidently fco,un their practice in New Plymouth," as though they had not b?en practising house- breaking for two months about tha east end streets. In the first week in May attention was called to the faot a' four l-ouses having b«>n entered du ing a foi toiglit and several have been broken into since! But neither of the Niw Plymouth papers has taken any co'ica of the roh-berir-s. So havi"g, so far, not been troubled by the police, the burglars evidently chink that so long as they kerp to rhe hp.ck end cross streets they will not ba troubled. If oar police can ODly find tim» to gua'd the centre of the town and D vons'Det up to the R.-d lions'", why not let them have bicycles so 'ha l ; they can not only taki a run up D von-strer t as far as the Henui, bub also along some of the ba k and •cros 1 ' streets.
