THE OPHIR AT AUCKLAND. ARRANGEMKNT3 FOR THE RECEPTION [PBB PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, June 10 The Ophir in coming down the cast at eight knots, and wi'l ariive in tbe gulf about 4 this afterroon. ARRANGEMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS. The following are particular* of Volunteers and hors°s pivcuding (o Wi 1 i'lgton on tbetccasioa of the Rjyal visit:— On Saturday, June 15th, a special 'rain wi 1 leave New Plymouth at 8.45 p.m'. with the Tatanaki Rifles (40 nmi), Guards (40), and Egmont Mounted Ilifl*s(43 men and 43 horse-), alsc the Cadets. Ea rou'e the special will pick up the following:—Waitara Rifles (43 men), at Sentry Hill; logwood Rifle* (33 men), Hawera Mounted Rifles detachment (26 men and 26 horses), at Ingle wood 950 p.m.; Stra ford Mounted Rifles (50 men and 50' horses) and Straferd Rifl s (52 men), at Stratford, 11.5 p.m.; Eltham Rifles (60 men), at Ettham, 11.25 p.m. The City Band will accompany th.9 New Plymouth contingent, Captain Taunt'n has received the following telegram : travelling 100 miles or over by tr-iio, each way, the following rates are granted for the Royal visit : Mounted Co>ps, must, ring 30, 4s each per day, and Is 6d per horss per day ; other corps, mustering 3.5, 4s each per day. By order. H. A. Lomox, Captain Staff Adjutant." Two more —Toko and Norfolk road —are known to possefs flaga, and possibly there may be ethers. About 3000 of the c imraemoration medals struck-for school children have come to hand for Taracaki.
