THE VANILLA CASE. MS PRESS ASSOCIATION. Duhedin, June 6, A special meeting of the Committre of the Dumdin Jockey Club was held to-night to further consider the Vanilla case. J. A. McGaincesj was tefere the Committee to give an explanation of Disconnection wi'h Vanilla. After hearing his evidence and that cf other witnesses it was resolved to disqualify J. McGoinness for fix months.
NORTHERN STEEPLECHASE. Auckland, June 6. There is little change in the betting over the Great Northern Steeplechase and Grand National Hurdles double to-d»y. Ku r u», coupled with Cannongate, came in for a little tupper t, 700 to 21 being taken.
A TUBF ACCIDENT. Auckland, Jure 6. This morning, while doing steidy work on the grats track at Ellersli°, the hurdle gelding Forty-seven broke his off hind leg alove the hock snd had to be destroyed. Tiooper Watkins, who is in South Afriea with the Fi th Contingent, is owner of Forty-Eeven.
