[We do not bold ourselves responsible lor opiDious expressed by our correapondenta).
TO THE EDITOR, Silt, —As regards the Villa?* lon Hotel, 8.1 l Block, I 'SS u .1 like to s*y a few words regarding the po'ice report whi.h was recently uwdi —ooj actions. This i>ou-e id old and ia bad rtpiir; the bedrooms not furnished, ia bad order, mid coi fit for occupation. I mty s y that this hotil should have been rahui't twelve months ago, but tome fiaaucial man stepped in and had an idea t! at he would m<ke a considerable sum out of tbebui'diog by getting it r< moved to a more populated plaoe. In order to do this they have let the plaoe get into the bad state as reported by tli9 po'ice. Tti>) btdiooms havt be i deprived of furnitu e t and-are not fit for occupation, so that the liceose must lapse. Tne public have bten refus.d losings in t'ts Village Inn, whc'i, I think, is an ut'er disgraos to public, whose accommodation it it for. l'his h*s b. en date in otder to let the liceaee lapse. Thanking you for jour va'uablo spice,—l am, etc., SETrLEI,
