MB. MILLER BEFOKE HIS CONSTITUENTS. HON. J. G WARD AT DUNEDIN. PBB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Dune din, May 30. Mr. J. Millar, addressed the electors at the Princess Theatre. He speke of legislation of the com'ng s.wion, and mid he wonld make a determined stand to protect education endowments and retain their administration in tbe haeds of School Commissioners. A rote of thanks to the speaker and confidence in tbe Government was carried unanimously. In response to calls, the Hon._J. 0. Waid addressed the meeting. He referred to tbe g eat financial prosperity and to concessions madto men on the railway, and claimed that the Goverament had lifted wage earners of the colony by a quarter million per annum. This y<vir there weald be .£82,000 available ;<> go in the way of concessions to the users and additional increases to "mployee s in the service thioughout the colony. Notwithstanding the enormous concessions referred to, ths railways would pay £3 9s 5s per cent, upon the cost of £17,280,000.
