THE ROYAL VISIT.
Received 18, 12.26 p.m. PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. Melbourne, May 18. The Duke of Cornwall has presented Mr. Barton with a Wutiful gold snuffbos, handsomely embellished with the Royal Arms and monogram in blue enamel, having on the lid Urge brown rubies and the Princt of WaW feathers in diamonds, tied with a cla-p of emeralds. The box is set with bix large diamonds. Mr. Jenkins, clerk of Parliament, Mr. Ohomley, Commissioner of Police, Mr. McCulloch, chairman of the Celebrations Committee, Mr Peacock, and the Lieut.-Gor rnor have also received valuable gifts. The Royal guests left Gavernmen* House at 11.30 a.m., and proceeded by train to Brisbane. Received 19, 5.41 p.m. Sydnbt, May 19. The train raached Albury a 5 5.30 list night, whsn (he Vo'uoteer gu«rd of ho'ot- fire! a silute. The Mayor welcome the Royal party to New Sou'h Wal3f, and the mayor's daughter pressnte 1 the Duchess with a bosquet Outside t'ae s'atian a large crowd had sssemMedand the school children sang the National Antbem.
