The Mowing resolution was carried unanimously, "That this Council approach the Minister for Education with a view to having scientific instruction in the nature of alcohol and its effects on the human bdy givon to the children in our pubi c schools. A resolution wis passed deploring the ravages cf mil taiism and expressing an opinion that difficulties between nations were always (apaMe of & peaceable (-e'thmeot, and h'.artily welcoming the e'tiblishment of the International Court of Arbitrat : on. At the afternoon session it was resolve 1 "That the solo qualification for an old age pension be 35 years' render ce, and a certified age of 65 years, al*o that the amount be increased to ten shi lings a wetk." It was a'so resolve! that " AU sentences for serious offences should be decidod as to duration by the reform of rhe criminal; that women visiting justices ba appointed to our prisons * that capital punishmtnt be abolished.)*
