Three months' bills are discounted at 3j per cent Consols are quoted at 94J. The -following are the quotations for Colonial Government securities Victorian 4 per cents., 11l ; 3 A per cents., 101. New South Wales, 4 per cents., 115; 3| per cents, 103; 3 per cen's, 99. South Australian, 3i per cents , 106 ; 3 per cents, 94. Queensland 4 per cents., 107f; 3| per cents., 103 New Zealand 4 per cents., 113; per cents , 109-j; 3 per cents., !)6§. Tasmanian 3§ per cents., 103 J. Westralian, 3i per cents., 100.
The wheat markets are generally strady, but at London prices are barely maintaina-i. Cargoes firm : Victorian unchanged; South Au tralian January shipment, 30s 3d; sailer parcels afloat., 295.
Butter is slow of pale. Co'orhl, 100s J Danish, flat 101s. , Sueur is quiet. German, 9s J|d; first marks, 10s 91.
Copper is steady. Fpot, 695; three months, 70J, Tin is steady. Spot, 118! 1; three months, "5* Pig iron. 54s 3d. Lead, 12 7-16. Spelter, 17.
Bradford tops are quiet and unchango 1. At the London wool sales bidding was animated, I outinental buyers operating fn.ely. The sales included Aiatnla, Bd.
EGMONT FARMERS, UNION, LTD. Hawera, May 2. At Hawera, on the 25th ultimo, only a fair yarJing of stock came forward. Sheep: Cull lambs, 4s Bd. We submittal a good entry of herses at ou r horse fair on tha 27th ult. At Manaia, on the Ist inst., we had a yood yardiny of stock. There was not a very large attendance of buyers, but we succee 'ed in placing most of the stock before leaving tho yards.
