On Toesday he pre sented a ch-qua for £7 en the account which then stood at £SO. After the cheque had been muked he altered the figurea to £270, and the money was paid oat by the teller in £lO notes. The man w»nt to tlm Nuwvcn br itch, exchanged five of the noter, and more not's were changed at a b anch of the National Bank.
