Corinna left Wellington on Friday evening with a large car*o from southern ports, shs arrived at New Plymouth on Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Aftar landing her cargo she proceeds to the West Coast, calling at Greyaiouth and Westport. Bhe leaves early this morning. The s.s. Genie left Westport hut Friday evening for this port, with a cargo of coal; she arrived here on Saturday afternoon about 4 o'clock, and after discharging she will sail for the West Coast. The rough weather of the past few days has prevented the Government trawler Deto from doing anything, and she lies at the wharf. She resumes trawling as soon as the weather moderates. The attraction of three steamers ia poit on Sunday, on which day it is seldom a vessel is in port, induced a lanre number of people to visit the Breakwater yesterday. The Corinna excited considerable interest, as she is a very fine vessel of 1279 tons. Uke all the Union Company's steamers she il particularly clew and well found. The wharfage accommodation at the Breakwater appears likely to be severely taxed this morning. The Corinna and the Gertie arrived too late on Saturday to open their hatches and discharge. The V|&pnbi and Oreti a to expected early ttis morning, as all of them are full ships we wharf bands will have a busy time. The captains of the Corinna and Gertie report very dirty weather and heavy sea on their trip to New Plymouth. The Union S eamship Oompasy, on Monday, 23th:April, start a new fortaightly cargo service from Bunedin to New PlyMouth, oiling at Oamarß, Timarn, Akaroa, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson, arriving at New Plymouth avery alternate Bunday, mnd tailing again on Monday for Dunedin, via Wellington and southern ports. The nixt Home steamer with dairy produce will be the Maori, leaving Wellington ob May 9th. To avoid disappointment early application for space is necessary. The closiig day at the Freezing Works being Thursday, the 2nd May, at 3 p.m
